Please, please, please ask many questions about the credentials, experience and professional affiliations of the clinician that you’re interviewing to help you through your crisis.
Intervention is an art and good interventionists have many credentials and are well rounded in the training that they have received; many have specialties and some are generalists.  Ask for references and check to see that their affiliations and credentials are up to date.
